I am leaving McKinsey after almost 7 years of working at the firm. I am grateful for the last years working with very smart and driven people at the Lisbon office.
Next week, I am joining Aptoide as VP of Strategy and Monetization. I will be at MWC in Barcelona, so if you around feel free to connect. I am particularly interested in connecting with android developers and OEMs.
I have been obsessed by helping entrepreneurs for quite some time and have been juggling between my 24h/7 job at McKinsey, taking care of my 2 kids (1 and 3 years old) and supporting entrepreneurs.
I have started to support Aptoide on a pro-bono basis back in 2016 after Tiago Costa Alves introduce me to the founders (thanks, Tiago). At first, the goal was to provide one-time guidance on the In-App Billing strategy. I enjoyed so much working with Paulo Trezentos and Álvaro Pinto that I started to get more involved — among other things pro-bono helping in the ICO — and now I am joining full-time (I am all-in)!
Besides being excited and really fortunate for working full-time with friends, I believe we are in the right moment in history to change the power dynamics on the android app distribution economy. The standard open-source protocol provided by AppCoins Official can create a new way of distributing apps that can benefit users, OEMs and developers. If you also believe in this idea, PM me.
I am sure the years ahead will be a roller coaster, but I am looking forward to it. I am also committed to spend more quality time with my wife and kids as I have been unable to do it in the last years at McKinsey.
